Pitti Uomo: The Phenomenon of Men's Fashion Beneath the Tuscan Sun
The silhouette of the Duomo, the aroma of espresso, and a crowd of men whose elegance transforms the streets of Florence into an impromptu runway. Pitti Uomo is not just a trade fair – it’s a phenomenon. Twice a year, designers, fabric makers, brands, stylists, and fashion enthusiasts from all over the world gather here. And so did we. This year, we travelled to Florence with photographer Kristýna Poliček to bring you a fresh perspective on what’s happening in the world of men’s fashion.
From Eleganza Rilassata to Quiet Luxury
Pitti Uomo 108 was defined by eleganza rilassata – relaxed, effortless elegance. Like a fine Chianti, it pairs beautifully with the term currently reigning over the fashion world: quiet luxury. Together, they form the essence of the direction in which men’s fashion is flowing – with the rhythm and temperament of Italy.
While some past editions of the fair brimmed with bold prints and vibrant eccentricities, this year calmness reigned – both in colour and design. Solid fabrics, premium materials, clear silhouettes. Fashion no longer demands attention, it earns it through craftsmanship. Comfort becomes the key word, but never at the expense of elegance. Extremely oversized cuts are making way for tailored yet relaxed silhouettes.

Key Trends: Deconstructed Jackets, Wide Trousers, Statement Accessories
After years of streetwear dominance, traditional tailoring is seeing a revival. And if one piece could define this year’s Pitti Uomo, it’s the double-breasted jacket with a wide lapel and softly structured shoulders. Often worn unbuttoned – once considered a fashion faux pas – it now signals confident style. Whether in classic wool or lightweight linen, the cut takes centre stage.
Other standout elements in contemporary menswear include relaxed pleated trousers and strong accessories: oversized bucket hats, silk bandanas, expressive socks, and eyewear that defines the personality of the entire look.

A Style Guided Not by Rules, but by Context
What struck us most? Diversity – in the best sense of the word. Fashion here isn’t about fitting a mould but expressing individuality, curating thoughtful combinations, and embracing the courage to stand out. Street style here means wit, not chaos. From men in three-piece suits to relaxed looks paired with sneakers – each outfit seems to whisper: "Context is everything."
And that is the most important message of Pitti Uomo 2025: There is no single right style. There is only the right choice for the moment. Dress code, time of day, surroundings – they all matter.

Italy as a Perennial Source of Style Inspiration
Every visit to Pitti Uomo reminds us how deeply the setting can shape taste and the confidence to experiment. Florence is not merely a Renaissance backdrop – it’s a living atelier. Taking a cue from this means not fearing quality, respecting craftsmanship, and trusting your instincts.
And how to bring these trends into your own wardrobe? Choose what speaks to you. A double-breasted jacket made from fine Italian cloth? Or perhaps a new linen shirt to guide you through the summer heat? We’d be delighted to help you create an outfit that suits not only you but also the moment you’re dressing for.
Visit us in Brno or Prague – we’ll gladly bring a touch of Italian inspiration to your wardrobe.
